Spotlight on Scholarships & Scholars

Given the mission of AAUW, to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy, the scholarship program offered by the Colorado Springs branch is one of the best methods we have for meeting that mission.

To be considered for scholarships, each applicant must have completed at least 36 college credits, earned at least a 3.0 GPA, and be enrolled at Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) or UCCS.

For the 2025-2026 academic year, five women received scholarships to attend Pikes Peak Community College (PPCC) or the University of Colorado- Colorado Springs (UCCS).  Because of generous donations to our scholarship funds and the successful fundraising at our annual Authors Day, for the first time AAUW-COS was able to give scholarships of $3000 each.  The Scholarship Recipients are announced at the annual AAUW-COS Welcome Coffee, held each year in September.  To learn more about the annual Welcome Coffee click here.
