Virtual Branch Meetings Only for 2020
Your wellbeing and safety are our AAUW Colorado Springs branch’s top priority. Because of the risks of COVID-19, we will only meet virtually until January 2021. This includes branch meetings, Interest Groups, committees, and board meetings.
September 18 at 5:30 PM via Zoom, grab your favorite beverage and enjoy a Happy Hour!
September 19, 9:30 am to noon via Zoom – Welcome Coffee
Grab your coffee and join us! We will meet all eight of our 2020 scholarship recipients! The 2020-2021 AAUW Colorado Springs Board of Directors will be introduced. A ZOOM link will be emailed to you.
October 24th 10:00 am to noon via Zoom – Community Outreach program
Our Community Outreach Committee has secured Katherine Sturdevant, history professor at Pikes Peak Community College, to speak to us on the History of Women’s Right to Vote in Colorado. The program will be open to the public and recorded for future viewing. Registration is required. Free to members and $10 for guests.

November 14, 10:00 am to noon via Zoom – Panel Discussion: Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
A DACA lawyer and two people with DACA status will speak to us. The program will be available ONLY to AAUW members and NOT recorded.
December 12, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm via Zoom – Holiday Sing Along and Happy Hour
Our own Fran Pilch will play holiday sing along music on her piano for our enjoyment and participation. Grab your favorite beverage and join us for a festive evening. The program will be for AAUW members only and recorded for future viewing.
January 16 (2021) 10:00 am to noon – Public Policy program
Public Policy Director, Audrey McGuire is planning this one. It’s going to be even better than last year’s program on voter suppression! Depending on how things are going with COVID-19, we may meet in person – cross your fingers!
