Each September AAUW-COS holds a Welcome Coffee, a chance to meet and greet new members, introduce our newest scholarship winners, learn more about our club’s numerous interest groups, and of course eat and drink delicious food prepared by our members!  This year’s Welcome Coffee was held on September 13 at the First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs.

For the first time AAUW-COS was able to give scholarships of $3000 each to five recipients.  A highlight of the morning was hearing from three of them, Chelsea, Tawnie, and Ali.  It was so inspiring to hear how they are overcoming odds to achieve their dreams.

Many thanks to all the members who generously donated their time and talents to make this a special event.
