2019 AAUW Colorado Springs Branch Scholarship Luncheon and Award Winners
THANKS FROM PREVIOUS WINNERS: Our scholarship winners have always expressed their great gratitude for our small contribution toward their education and their promising futures. These comments from our 2016 winners represent all the others.
- “Any amount of scholarship is a huge help to me, so thank you so much for choosing me as one of your five top candidates. I am truly grateful. This year’s scholarship application has impacted me so much that I have decided when I have all my loans paid off, I will be starting my own scholarship fund to help women like me to get their degrees in the future”
- “Thank you for honoring me with this generous scholarship. Each of you I was fortunate to meet from AAUW showered me with kindness and encouragement. Now I have something to strive for on my journey toward sustainability. I want to help other women achieve their full potential and reach their academic dreams the way you all have supported me. Thank you for easing my academic financial burden.”
- “My children are a challenge when I also have school and work; however, if it weren’t for them, I would not have the drive that i have to complete my degree and give them a life they deserve. The AAUW scholarship is helping me overcome the many challenges I face as a non-traditional student. Thank you so much for all your generosity and thank you for believing in me and helping me overcome barriers”
